  I've struggled to know how to have an outlet to express the poor care I received from Dr. Snively. I am choosing this forum because I daily deal with pain, discomfort, lack of mobility in my leg due to his sloppy work and negligence. He performed 2 identical surgeries on my body. The first one went well and I had no issue other than the procedure ultimately didn't work. The nature of the surgery was not for cosmetic purposes but rather to graft in my garcillis muscle to a damaged area of my body The incision on my 1st surgery to remove my gracillis muscle in my inner thigh was well hidden and was well above my knee area. The second surgery left me with nerve damage, constant pain, a scar that looks like a unskilled incompetent surgeon went in blindly not even know how to make the cut. It stretches from my upper groin to the bottom of my knee. The stitching was done so poorly and with very little care. I was in the hospital 2 weeks and never saw Dr. Snively until the day of my release. I complained of pain and severe sweating 4 days in to my hospital stay. When I was set to be released Dr. Snively came in patted down my leg and said it was fine. I knew I was not fine. I was sent home which is 3.5 hrs away only to end up in the ER with a SEVERE infection that needed immediate surgery. Dr. Snively's exact response to the the ER doctor that called to tell him I had developed a severe abscess in his surgical site was "there is no way my work has developed an abscess, you are mistaken". His arrogance took the ER doctor and staff back. Not only did I have severe an abscess but the infection had spread throughout my entire leg. I had to have a wound vac for 3 weeks and am left with an even nastier scar where the infection did damage. I have constant issues with infection in that area one time it landed me in the ER at Swedish where he practices. When he came to see me again he was arrogant and had an accusatory tone as if he didn't believe there was an infection (even though I spent 3 days in hospital on IV antibiotic). The infection caused me to need more surgery his poor cutting on the surgery did nerve damage and I will have swelling, numbness and pain for the rest of my life as well as a nasty scar that can not be hidden. It is getting lighter over time but when you compare it to the scar from the same surgery on my other leg they are night and day different. Most people do not believe it was the same surgery or same surgeon. Although I am aware he is well known and many people have had great success stories I am daily reminded of his lack of concern or listening to me during the 5 minutes I actually saw him upon my release. I appreciate those to take the time to read this and my intention is to make other aware they need to be very proactive in making sure they choose the best possible surgeon and receive the best possible care.
